Burn Injury

I personally experienced a small burn injury when I burnt myself whilst ironing.  It was only a small area on my index finger (approx. 1cm long) but as it was  happening I knew that it would be deep.  The top layers of skin shrivelled away before even a blister could develop.  I did three things:

(1) I held my finger under the running cold water tap for 10 minutes.

(2) At the same time I did EFT extensively for many rounds on each statement:
“Even though I burnt myself I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I feel queasy thinking about the burning flesh I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though the skin is burnt away right down to the muscle I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I was so stupid that I burnt myself I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I saw it coming and still allowed it to happen I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I feel the pain coming I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though it will be very painful I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I burnt myself I choose it to heal quickly and easily.”

(3) I taped a fresh piece of split Aloe vera leaf over the wound.  I left this in place for about three days but changed the leaf several times a day.

This was the result:

I did not feel the slightest bit of pain during any stage of the event and healing process.  The wound did not get infected and healed easily.  No scar or discoloration at the burn area was visible after about 3 months.

Cystitis

Background of Symptoms and Treatment Flow:

The first few occurrences of the infection cleared after taking cranberry extract.  Later, disease development was more severe and antibiotics were necessary.

During her next trip abroad cystitis flared up again.  Even though she had brought antibiotics as a precaution she was reluctant to take them unless it was really unavoidable.  However, all symptoms had developed quite severely with the only exception of fever.  As a last resort, before taking medication, she decided to try EFT.  She did an extensive session for about 1½ hours on every possible aspect of the problem.

EFT Setup Statements:

First she tapped on general statements such as:
“Even though I have cystitis I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“…I have this inflammation in my urinary system…”
“…there are E. coli living in my bladder…”

Then she tapped on the various symptoms:
“Even though I have this dull pain in my lower abdomen I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“…I need to go to the toilet all the time…”
“…it is really burning a lot whenever I go to the loo…”
“…I am afraid to go to the loo because it is so painful…”
“…I am feeling sick and miserable…”

Finally she tapped on all limiting beliefs she could think of:
“Even though I have this cystitis because I get it every single time I am abroad I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“…I have it because I am abroad…”
“…I am afraid to get it again really badly…”
“…I am afraid to be seriously ill here in Africa…”
“…I must not get sick now because I have to work …”
“…I haven’t got time for this…”
“…I really, really don’t want to get it…”

Treatment Outcome:

After this she went to bed.  She did not have to get up a single time during the night and the next morning there was not a trace of any of the symptoms.

Digestive Problems

Background of Symptoms and Reasons for Visit:

Treatment Flow:

Session 1:  All muscles connected to the meridians of the digestive tract tested strong.  Ileocaecal valve did not show to be a problem.  The only biomarker related to the digestive system showing an imbalance was stomach acid.  Muscle testing showed that betaine HCl was required and it was suggested as a supplement.  The dosage was also established using muscle testing.

Session 2:  (1 month later) All aspects of the digestive system were retested and again only the biomarker for stomach acid showed up to be a problem.  The supplement betaine HCl was replaced with zinc, vitamin B-complex and a calcium/magnesium product.  All of these substances are involved in the body’s natural production of stomach acid.

Treatment Outcome:

Shortly after the first session symptoms were greatly reduced.  The cramps, sickness and indigestion were gone a few days after starting the betaine HCl.  A month into the treatment only a small occasional nipping pain was still felt.

When speaking to the client again about 1½ months after session 2 none of the symptoms remained.  A positive side effect of taking the supplements showed that her blemished facial skin has also improved.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Background of Symptoms and Reasons for Visit:

Treatment Flow:

Treatment Outcome:

Symptoms subsided within a month after session 4 and did not return for 1 ½ years.  After that there was another episode of IBS with slightly different symptoms, which seemed to have been triggered by heavy, processed foods.  The ayurvedic remedy Triphala tested beneficial and was continued for several months until it was not needed any more.

The history shows that for this client the digestive tract is obviously a weak point in the body.  Symptoms, nutritional requirements and treatment approach changed slightly over time.  Vitamin B-complex tested beneficial during the whole period.

Food testing was also done at some point and refined carbohydrates, dairy and corn were identified as a problem.  These were avoided for several months and later gradually reintroduced without negative effects.

Migraine Headaches

Background of Symptoms and Reasons for Visit:

Treatment Flow:

Client Homework:

Treatment Outcome:

After 1 month:
The headaches were clearly reduced.  The food diary revealed a correlation between lapses in diet-consistency and headaches, with a few days delay in onset of symptoms.  This knowledge helped the client to follow the diet more easily.

1½ years later:
The migraines had almost ceased initially.  However, over the last few months they had returned slowly and gradually to a frequency of 2 to 3 times a week.  It appeared that, even though she tried to avoid nightshade vegetables, she had become less consistent in her diet.  Further supplements for liver support were suggested.

3 months later:
A consistent diet without any tomatoes, peppers and aubergines and the occasional potato has been resumed.  The headaches have reduced significantly and only rarely occur now with less severity and usually connected to some other health problem.

Osteoporosis

Background of Symptoms and Reasons for Visit:

Kinesiology treatment flow:

Initial kinesiology tests showed that magnesium rather than calcium was beneficial, suggesting a possible imbalance in ratio between the two minerals.  The parathyroid, which is involved in calcium metabolism, did not indicate any problems.  The biomarker for the hormone calcitonin showed a slight imbalance but this was not a priority.  The biomarker for oestrogen, however, showed an energetic inadequacy.  Supplements chosen, on the basis of muscle testing, were magnesium, Caprin (a magnesium-calcium supplement), selenium and Black Cohosh.

Supplement dosages were reassessed and adjusted in one to three monthly intervals over the next two years.  During this time period various other conditions were treated as well and other supplements were taken additionally.  Caprin was the only one of the initial regime that was needed continuously.

Treatment Outcome:

At the end of the two years treatment period a fourth bone density test was done.  The values were in the normal healthy range.  The client continues to be muscle tested for the need of calcium and magnesium, which still show as being required.

Spider Phobia

A female client, aged 70, came to the clinic because of extreme fear of spiders.  The phobia was so severe that she would constantly scan the room for spiders and not put on slippers in the dark for fear that a spider might sit inside.  She always had a Hoover close by in case she spotted a spider somewhere.  When watching a wildlife program she would switch of the TV as soon as spiders were even mentioned.  If she were exposed to a picture by accident she would be haunted by it for days afterward.  I had to promise her that we would not test the progress of our treatment by exposing her to a photograph unless she expressively agreed to it.

We started tapping on general statements relating to fear of spiders and gradually moved to more vividly imagined pictures and real past situations she remembered.  All tapping rounds started with maximum fear intensities and went down to no fear at all.  We also tapped on an inherited aspect, as there was a family history of fear of spiders: her mother as well as her grandmother had suffered from it.  In the end we treated the fear of the fear.

At this point she agreed to look at a close-up photograph of a garden spider from a far distance.  Fear came up again but reduced quickly with EFT.  After several more rounds she was able to hold the picture herself and inspect it closely without feeling any fear.  She did not like the look of the spider but it was not a problem to do so.  At the end of the treatment session, including more tapping, she was able to handle a realistic model spider.
